In todays lesson (10th October 2017) we learnt about Levi Strauss binary opposition, we started the lesson by watching the video clip below: Roland Barthes helped him understand and discover how our language is constructed. The difference between the word and it’s menaing is ‘ binary opposition ’ Strauss came up with the theory that conflict is based around the binary opposites making these the central climax of a narrative story. There are three major companies within the UK film industry. They are as followed, BBFC, IPSO and OFCOM. BBFC: British Board of Film Classification. The BBFC are responsible for choosing the right classifications and age ratings. They are guide to media content. They focus on protecting the public eye especially children from content that might raise harm risks. WOMAN' MAGAZINE- EVELYN HOME ARTICLE ANALYSIS In the corner of the screen you can see the phrase "friend and counsellor to those with a personal problem" and this helps give the article a more informal feel, like you've got a trusted and lifelong friend to help you, comfort you, and support you through the troubled times, however there are many times in articles where this is not the case, and in the "Risk of Lost Love" article Evelyn blames the writer of the letter for not being a "warm and loving wife", and constantly berates her for not showing complete subservience to her man.
